Bio Keith Scott, Chairman IIRSM
The event will be inaugurated by Keith Scott, Chairman, International Institute
of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) MSc, MSc, FIIRSM (Hon) FIIAI, EurOSHM,
CMIOSH, MIoD, SBCI.
Keith is Group Head of Safety at Royal Mail Group Ltd. Working
within a small Corporate Social Responsibility team he is responsible
for Royal Mail Group safety strategy as well as providing expert advice on
Group wide safety issues. Royal Mail Group is unique in that it employs almost
176,000 people in the UK. Every working day, Royal Mail processes and
delivers 75 million items to 28 million addresses. Each week Post Office
branches serve over 24 million customers. Every year the domestic and
European parcels business, General Logistics Systems and Parcelforce Worldwide,
handle some 360 million parcels.
Previous employment includes Head of Health and Safety at the Ministry of Justice,
Department for Constitutional Affairs and the Greater London Magistrates'
Courts Authority. In addition he has experience in Security and Business
Continuity within Central and Local Government.
Keith is passionate about promoting professional competency and improved communications
within the wider safety community, in the UK and internationally.
In his capacity as Chairman of IIRSM Keith works tirelessly to help the business
community understand the importance of clear enforcement of HSE regulations and
adherence to good safety practices, recognising these as key influencers in the
growth of economic and social health.
